They came in their private plane and took Mrs. Berry on a trip to her brothers and sisters in Paradise, Calif. Debbie Berry stayed with her cousins, Diane and Jill Berry, children of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Berry. Mr. Berry also attended BYU graduation exercises on Saturday at Provo. Mrs. Lorene Blatter arrived Wednesday from Orange, California at the home of her son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Layne Blatter. They attended commencement exercise at the BYU on Saturday and ' congratulated her son and Laynes brother, Steven Blatter, as he received his diploma. Mrs. Blatter returned home Saturday evening. : Mr. and Mrs. Harold Penney and children, Cheryl, Ross and Laura, of Santa Ana, California motored to West Mountain Wednesday for a weeks visit with Mrs. Penneys parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Schvamm. They were joined by Mr. and Mr;. Max Schramm and daughter, Christie of Logan; Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Schramm and family, George, Glenda, Dennis and Laura Jean Schramm, of Lehi; Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Schramm and Rodney, LuJean Jeff and Ryan Schramm of Payson and Mr. and Mrs. Glade Schramm and daughter, Monica of Payson. They went as a group to the Uintas on Thursday. Sunday the women and children came back and enjoyed a turkey dinner at the Schramm home. Monday the entire group had a fish dinner and celebrated the fourth wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Max Schramm out of thirty-foThirty-tw- o family members were present. Mrs. Sarah Passey of Thayne, Wyo., mother of Mrs. Carl Schramm, was special guest. ThePenneys returned to Calif, on Tuesday. ur Little Juan Clifton Leyva, grandson 01 Mrs. Iva Nay, is a patient at the Payson City Hospital. He is the son of Juan and Suzanne Leyva. Eldon Bishop, son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Bishop, of Kamas and Kathy Bishop, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Bishop of Los Angeles, Calif, have spent one week with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Angus Bishop. Coach Raymond Janssen and manager Deloy Adams will proudly take the West Mountain Jr. softball team to Salt to represent Zone 23 in Lake Aug. 24-the final tournament. Members on the team are Paul Finch, Paul Rothe, Ross Nelson, Glen Hurst, Melvin Hurst, Kevin Adams, Leon Rowley, Greg Farr, Lynn Rindlisbacher, Jimmie Hiatt, Bruce Christiansen, Lyle Francom, Garth Williamson and Neil Bushman. Success to you. We are very proud of your going. en 27 Mr. Blaine Carlton returned Thursday from Fort Holabird, Maryland where he was stationed with the US National Guard for 5 months. He was happy to greet his new daughter, Alisa, whom lie will bless and name in Sept. He and his wife and baby will then leave for Gainesville, Florida where they will make their home for the next four years while Mr. Carlton attends college and does post graduate work. Mrs. Carlton has been living with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Bushman. Best wishes are extended to Sharon and Marion Seaman and family who have moved from West Mountain to Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Delos Tanner and family attended the Rose family reunion held Sunday at the Spanish Fork Leo-LaV- i Mr. and Mrs. Tom Sorenson and children, Curtis, Kim, Scott and Kathryn, and Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Nelson and children Pam, Andee, Von and Holly, of Goshen returned Saturday, Aug. 22, fromaweeks vacation to Lake Tahoe, Yosemite National Park, San Francisco and Bend, Oregon. They enjoyed a swim in the ocean, the Redwoods, Fishermans Wharf and many points of interest. n Mrs. Betty Hurst, Mrs. Ruby Meredith and Mrs. Muriel Meredith motored to Lehi on Monday to attend a birthday dinner for Mrs. Elva Allen. Mrs. Joyce Jacklin and daughter, Sherrill of American Fork returned to West Mountain for a weeks vacation with her mother, Mrs. Ruby t Meredith. The Payson Fire Department was called to help put out a grass fire on Monday at the Dave McMullin farm. No damage was done. Mr. Ernest Rothe was admitted to the Payson City Hospital on Monday due to an accident at the Intermountain grain storage visitors to see him plant. were Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Rothe of Riverton, Mr. and Mrs. Fon Rothe of Lehi, Mrs. Charles Giasford and Mrs. Betty Spencer of American Fork. Mr. Rothe was released on Thursday and is convalescing at home. Mr. and Mrs. Marcus Gleave returned recently from a two week vacation to Oregon. They visited their son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Levere Gleave of Albany and their daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Rick Rassmussen, also of Albany. They also visited Mrs. Cleaves sister, Mrs. Thelma Branstrom of Portland, Oregon. On their arrival home they motored to Pine Lake to attend the reunion of the former residents of the now ghost-tow- n of Widtoe in Piute Co. They also visited Mr. Cleave's mother, Mrs. Maud Gleave and other relatives and friends. ' c I a.m. Monday morning twenty-thre- e boys from Scout Troop 96 left West Mountain for an eight day trip to Yellowstone National Park. Troop leaders accompaning the boys were Norman Row-le- y, Roy Williamson, Dale Sheffield, Albert Kenison and Lewis Johnson. At 5:00 1 ,i Mrs. Norman Rowley and children, Mindy, Susan, Michael, John, Janet, Marie and Christy, spent from Tuesday until ti Thursday visiting Mrs. Rowleys parents, Mr. and Mrs. F.H, Bennion and family of Salt Lake. On Wednesday Mrs. Rowley and children, except Christy who stayed with grandma, attended the RinglingBros. Barnum and Bailey circus at the Salt Palace in Salt Lake.
