She had the distinction of sending four sons to serve in World War I and was also the mother of two daughters. Mrs. Erlandson now 93, is her only surviving sister. Balzly Let us Sylvia Bates Balzly, 65, a resident of Benjamin, died Friday Sept. 13, 1968 inthePayson City Hospital following surgery. Mrs. Balzly was born on Oct. 18, 1902, in Park City, the daughter of Hyrum D. and Bertha Kinsey Bates. She married George Frank on Oct. 18, 1919. They were later divorced. She married Ralph Balzly on Jan. 7, 1950 in Provo. She was a member of the LDS Church. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of. Payson. Mrs. Balzly moved to Benjamin in 1919 where she has resided since. Survivors include her husband of Benjamin; five sons and one daughter, George W. Frank, Reed Frank, and Floyd D. Frank, all of Provo; Hyrum D, Frank, Benjamin; Sherman R. Frank, Spanish Fork and Mrs. Carl (Sylvia) Lee, Salem; 20 grandchildren; seven greatgrandchildren; two brothers and two sisters, Wallace M.
