Michael Robbins, 9 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Dwayne Robbins, received painful injuries to his face in a wreck on his' bike Friday. He is in the Payson hospital, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Keele j have a baby boy born April 9, in a California hosiptal. Mrs. Keele is the former Barbara Johnson, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Johnson. Mrs. Johnson has been in California with her daughter for the past six months. She returned home Saturday night. D. Christen- Mrs. Eugene Hillman was guest speaker at a meeting of the Junior Cultus Club, held Thursday at the home of Mrs. Bob Phelps. Mrs. Jack Spencer, president conducted the meeting, at which plans were made for attending the annual spring convention at Fillmore. Mrs. Darrell Hill introduced the speaker of the evening Appearing in full gardening attire, Mrs. Hillman explained means of reading the soil for seeding, how to plant end the time of year best suited for planting certain flowers. She explained the care of roses, told of the parentage of certain roses and showed colorful pictures of many flowers, explaining how to plant for best effects in the garden. Mrs. Hillman named flowers best suited to this locality ahd how and when to spray for insect control. She also showed effects of rocks used in the garden. As an added feature, Mrs. Hillman held a surprise drawing for a beautiful flower plant, which was won by Mrs. Clarence Hill. Luncheon was served to 19 members and one guest by Mrs. Phelps and Mrs. Darrell sen. Poetry was read by Mrs. Albert Payne, introducing songs presented by Mrs. Ben Leatham with piano accompaniment by Mrs. Howard Win-ega- r.
