TAKE A NEW LOOK AT YOUR VACATION AND FAMILY VIDEOS mai qi c qi quM Happy 16th Birthday May 1995 from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration and she maintained a GPA of 378 As part of her graduation requirements Kathleen had to complete a Senior project The paper that Kathleen wrote has been requested by National and Regional staff of the United States Department of Labor As a result of her work and knowledge of statistics Kathleen has been asked lo assist the United States Department of Labor staff with performing the statistical analyzes of a National Employer Council survey Kathleen has worked for the Utah Department of Employment Security (Job Service) for the last fifteen years and she began her career in the Delta Job Service Office She was promoted to the position of Employment Service Staff Specialists in November 1994 in a competitive bid process The above programs are only a few of her responsibilities When Kathleen is asked about why she is so successful she replies with a smile and says 'It’s in her Genes" She goes on to sute that “As a young girl her parents Newel and Venice taught her the value of hard work as well as instilled in her values and principles that have contributed to her success In addition Newel and Venice stressed the importance of receiving an education" Kathleen and her husband Curtis who is a Job Service Regional Manager live and work in the Salt Lake City Area Piece in the Valley News Our quilt guild meeting was held August lOth at the M E Bird Center Beth Whitaker (Cathy Cook's sister) held a workshop on the quilt top Road to Oklahoma She also taught tome really good hints on putting on binding She then showed a terrific trunk show We have won again First Place at the Fair Many Thanks to all those who donated items for the booth and to those who helped arrange the booth and those w hocame and watched it during the fair And those who cleaned it up! By Brad Hiatz Last week the American Fork High School Marching Band visited Millard County for their annua summer band camp An entourage of 200 kids 15 musical staff members 15 cooks a 30 two 15 foot trailers foot and four buses pulled into the ISPC Community Center on Monday Working 4 hours a day it was easy to tell why marching band in the they are the state Prior to arriving at band camp the students were to have their music memorized However the 90 page drill was to be taught while here in Delta By Thursday they had the whole routine down perfectly Each year American Fork hires a professional clinician to come help polish the routines after band camp this year was an exception though because of the difficulty of the piece they hired Juice Gilbert to come to band camp Ms There have been times you didn’t have any time yet you took the time There have been times you had enough cares of your own yet you cared There have been times w hen you had given all you had to give yet you kept on giving Thanks to all our family friends and neighbors for caring and helping at the lime of Justin’s accident and during his recovery Bill & Nancy Talbot wedding EgglestonHenderson Connie Chapman and Barry and Benda Eggleston announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter Sarah to Jared Henderson son of Marti and Bill Henderson All friends and family are cordially invited to come and share in their happiness on Saturday August 26 1995 from 4:00 until 6:00 pm in the Oak City Hall No invitations will be sent locally Delta City Library News sil Thank you Marching Band in Millard By Dear Aunt Nell: Boy have we had a lot of interest in this time I the vidcosbooks even had a little girl in the library far hours waiting for a video to be returned I think people are finding out about the good bargain and can’t pass it up Things hare been pretty quiet around here this week We are expecting a rush this week though when all the kids go back to school It's a lot more fun to read a good book than clean bathrooms etc We have had several scout groups visiting the library They are busy passing off eloc lives about libraries book care and species I have been working on the Choices for the 21st Century discussion series this week The books that they need are at the library and the necessary information A Marian Since school is here it's time for all the railroad paraphernalia to be removed from the walls Once again I will be dangling off the ladder and peeling ofT the dial reusable tac adhesive It is going to look really strange to have it gone I will hare to bring out the poster of Paul Newman reading on the billiard table to spark the place up) A book salesman stopped by the other day and I actually bought more kids books I am going to have to blast a hok through the wall to fit them in There aren't any more bookmobile books in our kids section so we don’t have anywhere to go I guest the next step is to weed out those books on the edge to make room for the new ones But after that is accomplished where do we go from there?
