Ginger Whitaker was blessed and given the name Easton Aaron Whitaker by his father during Sacrament Meeting Ginger’s parents John and Orilla Van Orman came from Orem Utah Other family members of Ginger's in attendance on this special occasion were her sister Heather husband Brad and son Parker sister Robin husband Wayne two brothers Ransom and wife Jeannie and two children Culler and Adrianne and James and wife Heidi Ginger also had two single brothers Hunter and Evan and a single sister Holly in attendance David's family members included grandparents Glen and Audry Quigley Fillmore Aunt Clara Ruth Stevens husband Bryant and children Holden and most of David's brothers and sisters added to quite a group of guests at the home of David’s parents Glen and Lilly for dinner David Ginger and baby will be living in Logan this coming school year where David will be attending graduate school at Utah Slate University Recent guests at the home of Rula and Leavitt Christensen have been their daughter Mcridcne Grant and husband John from Tempe AZ What a fun outing for three married ladies: Anita Higgs of Kanosh Helen Finlinson of Oak City and Janet Mathews from GTantsvillc Utah packed their camping gear food etc on three and headed for the hills for three days Anita took her daughter Randi Kae and Helen took her son Hebcr (Janet’s children are all teenagers so weren’t interested in going) They did a lot of trail riding but camped at Kimberly They tried to go to Big John's Flat but found the snow too deep on the trails Helen was acquainted with most of this area as her father Olaf George ran his sheep there years back These three gals all graduated from college together in Cedar City and were Physical Education Teachers They arc already looking forward to the latter part Pahvant Valley Senior Schedule of July in 1994 for another get together Sue and Stan Koyle with all for their family except Elder Spencer Koyle (who is in the mission field) have returned from a memorable trip together back to Fort Valley Georgia where S ue went to pick up a new school bus for Millard School District They did a lot of sightseeing and also enjoyed visiting in Alabama with Sue's sister Margaret Roper and family Nora Price was thrilled with the privilege of attending the Jordan River Temple wedding of her granddaughter Meredith Price of Idaho (near Blackfoot) and her fiancee Marc Fairbanks from Orem Utah Meredith is the daughter of Marvin and AUenc Price The wedding luncheon was served in Provo The wedding reception was held in Orem Utah Caitin Whitaker daughter of Bryce and Cindy of Kanosh celebrated her first birthday at the City Park on August 8 with lots of cousins uncles aunts friends and grandparents there to join in her excitement Best wishes to Homer Oldfield of Kanosh for a speedy recovery from a broken hip He is at the Utah Valley Hospital where he underwent surgery Visiting Sylvia Penney are Alice and DuWayne Carroll Jim and Pcnne Tim Aleah and Scott and Sue all of Long Beach CA Viron and Mcrodee Penney West Valley City Donna Whitaker Farmington Bonnie Russell Bountiful Vivian Paxton West Valley City Lynn and Howie Las Vegas Lois Cruz Travis and Christopher Salt Lake City All came for the Paxton reunion Following the Paxton reunion Vivian Paxton and daughter Lnn and Howie of Las Vegas visited the Tommy Paxtons Vivian has just returned from California where he visited daughter Daphne and Kirt and his new baby Kirsten his first great grandchild Dorothy and Jeff Lee announced the death of her brother Baker Paxton last week in Salt Lake City Also cousins Birdie Baldwin and Carolyn Baldwin died this year formerly of Beaver Couple to wed By Evelyn Mallet Mr and Mrs Don R Sorensen are pleased to announce the marriage of their Kristi Penney Pres Tom Paxton Vice Pres Bonnie Russell Secretary Larry Paxton and Lois Cruz auctioned off many beau'ifully wrapped gifts Viron Penney won the MAM candy jar Pcnne Lavery got the family gift which was a large framed tooled leather picture made by Calvin Stroud Dorothy Lee was the lucky winner of the HOLDEN There will be an open house honoring George and Rhea Dean Stephenson for their Golden Wedding Anniversary on Saturday August 21 from pm at the Holden Church Dr Aarl Hunter of Danville CA brought his father Otto Hunter from the Nephi Rest Home to church in Holden on Sunday A large crowd attended the missionary farewell for Elder Brett Coats on Sunday in the Holden Ward All of Brett's brothers and sisters were here including Pam from Hollywood CA Bryan and wife Walnut Creek CA Paula and family Logan and Karen from Salt Lake City Brett will enter the MTC on Wed Aug 18 where he will spend two weeks prior to leaving for the England Leeds Mission Carolyn Stevens and Kirby Giles of Fillmore attended a workshop in Salem OR for 10 days recently They were the only two teachers from Utah chosen to attend Carolyn and Norman Stevens and family took Jennifer to the Salt Lake City Airport Wednesday to put her on the plane for Hawaii where she will be this attending college at coming year Cherryl and Robert Wood and five children drove to the Grand Canyon last weekend They spent one night in Kanab and the second night at the Grand Canyon They visited Pipe Springs and drove through Colorado City on the way home Margaret Stevens and Glade's two daughter from Fillmore flew to visit Don and Anne Stevens in Liberty MO While they were there Don and Anne baby quilt donated by Bonnie Russell Following the luncheon there was volleyball badminton horseshoes picture taking visiting and catching up on family news which was new marriages new babies deaths of several members new jobs and moving to other homes Several campers stayed overnight and around the enjoyed marshmallows campfire More visiting eating and picture taking on Sunday Plans are going forward for next years reunion Cherryl Wood Ph: took them to many interesting places Overnight guests of Wesley and Faye Stephenson on Friday were Mrs David Burdick and family of Merced CA They came for the annual Stephenson family reunion hosted by Wesley and family at the Whiskey Creek Ranch descent One hundred and dants of Benjamin and Lorena Stephenson enjoyed the weekend beginning w iih the Friday night dutch oven supper prepared by Mrs Stephen Wanlass of Monroe Sister Mryth’s daughters Gwen Brcur and Norma Burdick were in charge of the activities which included celebrating sister Helma Staples’ upcoming 80ih birthday on August 30 Coming for Saturday visiting with the family were Mrs Evan Dastrup Mr s De Reece Dastrup and Mack Dastrup from Sigurd Stanley Stephenson and family were missed by everyone as he was still in the Provo Hospital Mrs Wesley Stephenson recently returned from a trip to Washington and Canada They spent several days with their daughter Gayle and husband Michael Wilcox and family at Kent W A They were all at the Seattle Airport to see granddaughter Cobi leave for Japan as an exchange student They were able to enjoy short visits with Faye’s cousins in that area and also fnends in Boise and Abbotsford BC Time in Alberta was spent with Faye's brothers and families and several friends in the Red Deer area and Wesley’s cousins Fenton and Mattie Stephenson Blair at Granum Mrs Wesley Stephenson arc enjoyvisit from their grandson ing a Chancey Stephenson of St George Eric Pinney and Diane Quarnberg Upcoming marriage announced Diane Quarnberg and Eric Pinney will be married Saturday August 28 1993 in Scipio Utah An Open House will beheld in their honor from 700 to 900 pm at the home of Lon and Ossie Memmott 506 N Slate Scipio Everyone is invited to attend The bnde is the daughter of Burtis and Connie Quarnberg of Scipio She is a training officer for Spartanburg County 911 system South Carolina Her grandparents are Lon and Ossie Memmott of Scipio The groom is the son of Howard and Shirley Pinney of Spartanburg South Carolina He was a member of the US Air Force and is now employed by Rexham Industry His grandfather is John Blackwell of Missouri The couple will make their home in Spartanburg South Carolina R Golden Wedding Anniversary The eleven children grandchildren and nine great grandchildren of George and Rhea Dean Stephenson invite their friends and relatives to an Open House honoring their parents on their 50th Wedding Anniversary They were married September 30 1943 The Open House will be held Saturday August 21 1993 from 7:00 until 900 pm in the Holden Ward Chapel 82 North 100 East in Holden All are invited Bonnie Russell of Bountiful is spending two weeks with Jean Russell She is taking care of her yards while here and visiting in Kanosh Also visiting Jean is her niece Lynn and Phil Moultin and children Marissa Brian and Leah from Las Vegas Phillips and Carlcne Russell accompanied daughter Nancy and Jeff Wight and children Amanda Brian and Christopher to Yellowstone Park for a weeks vacation Jean Russell recently
