ievmg new goals this week arc Darwin Brown 220 miles Evan Ogden 20 miles and Joy Jeffery who completed her frst 50 miles on July 25 The pool will be closed for its annual cleaning and repair August 19 through This year the pool will be September! completely drained and rcplastered The racquetball courts will remain open to the public from 5 lOp m on wecknights 10 pm and 9 a m 2 noon and again on son The Rebels participated in 4 AYSO tournaments plus the Utah Summer Games The highlight of the Rebels season was plavmg in the “Cottonwood ” This tournament is Hgts Invitational the 3rd largest AYSO tournament in the western L S Sixteen Division 4 teams from Nevada California New Mexico and I tah fought for the 1st through 4th place trophies After 4 regulation games 2 plavoff games and only 6 goals for the entire tournament scored on them the Delta Rebels earned the 2nd place trophy and title This is quite an accomplishment for their 1st season in Div 4 The Delta Rebels not only brought home a trophy for their hours of practice and dedication but a lifetime of friend the ships made with each other and teams thev played Steve Jewkes coach of the Rebels would personally like toexpress his love and appreciauon to his team and would like to thank Dan Elmer and Bob Mein hardt for their help A special thank you to the Rebel parents for their support trust friendship and for the hours Nevada this past weekend McCann again showed his ability to be number one with three first places in the 50 meter butterfly backstroke and freestyle with a second m the 50 meter breaststroke In order to participate in the Utah Summer Games this year McCann competed in the Southern Utah District meet at Richfield No one in Southern Utah could catch this fast 12 year old and he won six gold medals 50 meter butterfly and freestyle breaststroke 00 meter freestyle and 00 backstroke meter M (Individual Medley which is 25 meters each of the butterfly freestyle and breaststroke) McCann won his Utah
