Delta was well represented with 47 swimmers competing in 78 events Ten members of the swim team competed at the Utah Summer Games in Cedar City last week Results will appear in the next edition of swim pool news The pool would like to remind it's patrons to use the lockers at the pool to secure all valuables With the summer traffic flow through the pool many patrons have lost their possessions to theft Lockers cost 25 cents each According to Utah State Health Code 252 there will be no shoes allowed on the pool deck All spectators are required to sit upstairs in the balcony The pool would continuous presence of a lifeguard the adults may sit on the side and watch the children providing their shoes are moved Facility pass holders along with pool management are still anxiously awaiting the completion of the new addition The facility passes will be in effect from the day the racquctball courts are opened to that same day next year not from date of purchase Pass purchasers will receive the full year of facility recreation The pool and racquctball courts will be open weekdays 5:30 am to 5 pm and pm also Saturday pm for the public's pm and convenience Swim Lessons Summer "Leam to Swim" lessons are half over There are only three sessions left to take advantage of These sessions are as follows: Session IV July 3 Session V July 7 Session VI August All classes are being offered and each session costs $15 West Millard Community Swimming Pool is proud to offer another Mom and Me class beginning Monday July 9 at 5 pm This class is for children under 3 years old and an adult The classes call the pool at Sport S Delta swimmers attend Utah Summer Games The Delta Torpedo Swim Team last year took 3 swimmers to Regional competition and qualified 2 to swim in the summer games This year 0 went to the regional qualifiers and all 10 qualified to compete at the summer games With four Regions qualifying swimmers to the Summer Games at least 24 of the best swimmers in Utah went to Cedar City in each event The competition lasted from about 7am until 9 pm Thursday Friday and Saturday with prelims in the morning Masters at midday and finals in the aftemoonevening Each day was a 6 bottle Gatoraid day all 10 of our Without exception swimmers improved their best times in at least one swim event Some improved in all their events Swimming against the best in Utah Shannon Lewis won Silver in the 1650 yard Freestyle and Bronze in the 1000 yard Freestyle The boys Medley and Freestyle relays of Tim Sabcy Nathan Lewis Jonathan Draper and KC McCann won Bronze medals for their efforts
