Virginia Lyman LuAnne Brown is the daughter of Harl and Anne Judd of Cedar City Cook to marry Peterson Mr and Mrs Ray F Cook of Idaho Falls Idaho announce the marriage of their daughter Marcia to Nathan Lee Peterson son of Wes and LaWanna Peterson of Hmckley The wedding ceremony will be performed Friday July 6 1990 at Idaho Falls Marcia is a 1987 graduate of Idaho Falls High School She is now attending USU at Logan Utah where she is majoring in communication technology Nathan graduated from Delta High in 1984 He enlisted in the US Army for 3 years where he served is a combat demolition expert He is now working on a degree as an ’ Aeroepacc Engineer at USU in Logan The newlyweds will make their home in Logan They will be honored at a reception iu Idaho Falls July 6 from 7:30 to 9 00 Our book sale is still going on We have had a kx of people find treasures in our weeded out books Maybe the book you have been looking for since reading it in your early yean is here w ai tin g to be taken to a nice (a mere $25) Come in and check us out hne Manners are the -shadows of virtue Sydney Smith “ foe iiltord County Commissioner fA Paid tor by Warren H 4-- H The Millard County Sr Contests were held on June 25 were selected to compete in various contests at State Competition in ' Logan Lisa Nielsen and Rachel Bunker were selected in the Style Dress Revue Jenny Wright will be the alternate Aaron Fife Bev Ryan Tippetts Taylor and Jill Nielsen will be competing in the shooting sports They will show their skills in shotgun 22 rifle and archery Shalmic Tracy Mark Hansen Lori Lafecn and Kendra Jeffery will show their expertise in horse judging The livestock judging team was selected during the stockshow Team members ar J W Davies Brent Tolbert James Monroe and Shawn Kelly Illustrated talks and demonstrations will be given by: Emily Draper Shalmic Tracy Jenny Wright Elaine Hales and ‘Stephanie Bennett Melanie Wright and Jenny Nielson will be competing in public speaking Anne Marie Lake and Bev Taylor impressed the judges with a meal of oriental chicken and all the fixings They will be competing in meal preparation The talent show had some lough competition The judges decided on Jill Nielsen in piano AnnMarie Lake in vocal and Melinda Giles in instrumental All the did an outstanding job Thanks to dedicated kids and parents Millard County will be well represented at State Competition Approximately 170 girls and leaders attended the Cinderella Connection held June 25 in Delta An exciting day was planned for all Miss Millard County Jennifer Smith talked to the Jcnene girls about gaining Monroe talked to the girls about poise and modeling Julie Lovell gave directions and helped the girls make “bull winkles" for their hair At the end of the day many girls were sporting new hairdos created by wearing their bull winkle After lunch and soda floats those attending enjoyed a fashion who with fashions made available from Christensen’s Dept Store Smarty Pams and Ben Franklin’s of Delta and DCR Dept Store Fillmore Sportswear The Printing Parlor and Boutique of Fillmore Thanks to all of those leaden and girls who made the activity a success!
