Tt i call On Tuesday March 23 1989 Delia North Llementary second graders embarked on their annual ficldday event I his year the location was changed to the Gunnison Bend Reservoir due to all the Mormon Crickets that are invading Oak Creek Canyon They wen delightfully pleased with the change of address and thoroughly enjoyed themselves in spile of the wind which gusted lightly throughout the day of the included Highlights day fishing (see picture of (he day's catchj horse riding storytelling crafts eating playing etc Approximately 35 adults were on hand to assist in the day’s events We sincerely thank them for their grand support Mrs Ealmer Mrs Netlsen and Mrs Simmons are already cooking up plans for next year’s grand event It is great to end the busy school year with a experience such as this Again we thank all those w ho helped to make the event such a happy and successful one i puMc m rmt COMMUNICAllONS row WkXic latonX M phom otitM presentation speech teaeherdaughter-tn-laDelna Bliss complimented Mrs Bliss for the expert care she gives the wounded for the professional manner in which she greets the public and for the many extra hours she devotes to her profession Delta North Elementary is very fortunate to have both Mrs Christensen and Mrs Bliss on board our staff Each We is an asset to our total program wish them much happiness and success in their future years at Delta North plain: the food and service at Barry’s is excellent! DNES hosts open house things they could look forward to next year: including Hall of Tame Spring Festival and the dreaded SAT tests! Staff members were on hand to visit formally with the group following the short assembly Teachers took the students on the tour of the building showing them all the important places such as the lunchroom and the playground! The group met back in the lunchroom for light refreshments PTA Presidents Lorelei Draper had prepared punch and a delicious bear treat for those assembled We wish to thank all those who made the evening a successful event We are very excited to welcome the 63 students living in West Hinckley to our school We were very impressed with our itial visit with them and look forward to becoming better acquainted next fall We wish them a very happy and f unfilled summer vacation!
