first game matched the Eagles versus the Juab Wasps in Nephi Jason Burns pitched an excellent game as he fanned 12 Juab batters in a winning effort Burns improved his overall record to as he pitched 7 strong innings to defeat the Wasps The Millard bats were silent until the third inning when Doug Dearden led off with a single then Steve O’Camb l got on with a walk The was pulled off and both score The Eagles won their second game of the week as they defeated the North last Friday It was Sevier Wolves only the second game played on the Eagles new field and it proved to be a Steve and Mark Month The limelight has been placed on Jennifer Smith April’s 'l ifeguard of the Month” at the W est Millard Community Swimming Pool or the past year Jennifer has been a lifeguard and a summer swimming structor at the pool She has done an excellent job Jennifer is the type ol person that always strives to do her best The pool management appreciates her her willingness to work hard and her good attitude There will be two more winter swim lesson sessions at the W est Millard Pool before school is out for the summer Session nine will begin Monday April 18 and Session 10 will start Monday it was going around town that a man dove off the board and missed and landed on the board’s edge splitting open hi side The rumor was that the man's injury was so bad the pool had to be closed while the injured’s "guts” (pardon the slang) were cleaned out of there has never the pool Honestly been an accident like that at the West Millard Pool The worst diving accident which has happened in the nine years the pool has been opened was a boy hitting his head on the edge of the board which required a few stitches If a rumor goes around town it might as well be a good one this rumor qualifies as
