Snow College She will graduate from BYU with a degree in Middle School Education this month She served a mission in Assuncion Paraguay Steve served a mission in the North Salt Lake City Mission They Anita Art Kenneth Kevin Melissa and Erica came to Delta to celebrate Easter and Jerry’s birthday The Hills also visited with their mother Mrs LeNore McCall and other relatives in the area While here they all traveled out to the west desert and visited the Indian Museum at Clear Creek Canyon They went to the hot springs in Meadow UT They went roller skating swimming bowling in Delta and enjoyed the Easter Egg Hunts at the Delta City Park as well as at home Art wants to thank the Meinhardt boys for fixing his car President Peter and Ann (Webb) Lauener and 2 sons Roland and Vi years of age) from (Michael Switzerland are visiting for a 3 week vacation in Delta with Ann’s parents Mrs Don Webb and family The Laueners also have 5 sons waiting at home in Switzerland for them to return President Peter Lauener is the Stake President of the Bern Stake and was in Utah to attend conference meetings last week in Salt Lake City While in Utah Ann participated in two concerts given by an acappella choir all former BYU students one concert in Provo and one in Salt Lake City Mrs Florence Louder Brenda and Bob and Debbie Johnson and children Jennie Stacy Brock and Jake along with Nelda and June Ivy traveled to Milford UT and Pine Valley on Saturday to check on their property there Then on Sunday they all enjoyed a delicious Easter dinner at the home of Nelda and June Ivy in Delta Our sympathy goes out to the Earl Sagers family at this time Earl enjoyed his work here in Delta and his passing was a great shock to everyone Mrs Bernard and Bonnie Owens are delighted to have Bonnie’s sister Mrs Dixie Brentlinger of Dallas OR visiting with them She is helping Bonnie in the Green House and Bonnie hopes her vacation will last a while The Charles family were together for the Easter weekend at the home of their mother Mrs Ruth Steele They also visited with Shine and Yvone Church They enjoyed listening to conference Mrs Ruth Steele received a letter and birthday card from Ronald and NanRuth on her cy Reagan congratulating 80th birthday She also had a call Monday and a nice letter from Norman Bangerter wishing her well on her birthday Mrs Trancis Whicker accompanied Mrs Goldie Miller in Mrs Miller’s car to Grantsville UT on Thursday April 7 There they joined Mrs Miller’s niece who took them into Salt Lake to the Lion House where they attended the wedding reception of Mrs Miller’s Reece Nelson and Katherine Squires Reece works as a gardener in the Salt Lake Temple yards and in other church buildings The flowers for the wedding and reception were donated by his boss Mrs Miller and Mrs Whicker stayed in Grantsville all night at Goldie’s niece’s home then visited with old friends in the area Friday morning before returning home in Delta City Library News! by Marian Thanks goes out to all those supportive patrons that helped us celebrate National Library Week We may have been a little premature in this celebration but then we will be able to celebrate it twice! We started out the week with different shaped balloons for the patrons to take home We handed out book marks bubble gum cards folded paper into more bookmarks jumping frogs and made paper clip flyers watched videos from pm one day and just had an all around good time We really appreciate all your help in making the library activities successful We need to remind the patrons that have overdue books it is 5 cents a day for the overdue charge We need to have the books back when they are due so others will have the opportunity to check them out So when you are into your spring cleaning and moving the couch or bed out for the first time since last spring and come upon a little gem from the Delta City Library please bring it in We are easy to work with and love to see our long lost books returning to the shelves I’m sure that you all know that on April 19 it is Wiliam Shakespeare’s birWe at the library are anthday ticipating this glorious event We will have a surprise for all the patrons that visit the Library next Tuesday to help us celebrate!
