The Cub Scouts have wondered this in fact two different groups have been to the library to find out The Scouts wanted newspapers printed on that special day for each of them but we didn’t have them however we were able to find a US News or Time magazine printed for the week for each of them Now maybe you or I were born before the dates on the magazines we have on our shelves but this is just an illustration of the kind of unique service we have at the library Another unique service we are working on at the present is to order a singleengine airplane and pilotteacher for a certain day for a certain group Now if we can do that there’s hardly a reloan quest we or the department of the State Library cantime not Research Papers Just a reminder to High School who will be doing Research papers this year please make your requests early When the paper is assigned is the time to get right on it We have had exceptionally good service through the State Library (if they don’t have the requested material they try to find someone who does) but things are changing a little due to the freeze on state employees We are happy to call in all requests and are also happy to help direct research in our own library It will probably surprise you how much we have ourselves if you have not been a regular patron of our new library We would suggest you come in and browse around before deciding on topic if the choice is up to you Maybe all you need is right here waiting for you Book Group Tonight If you haven’t read the book children of St George called by the evening of Sept 25 to visit grandmother Ruth Allen The visit was short but very enjoyable The Hurds were on their way to Orem on business and also to visit his parents and family the Royal Hurds It is that time of year again when off to schools of higher learning go a number of our young people At Snow College is Alisha Bundy and Diane Sorenson for their third year Candice and Sherlyn Swallow Wendy Allen and Michelle Fuller to Cedar City Freshman year for the latter three third year for Candace Morrell Swallow and wife Chris are living in Logan where he will be attending USU Our best wishes from this community to all of you!
