Show 17 Dr Gholamreza Safarian Dr Gholamreza Safarian graduated from Tabriz University Iran in 1964 After graduation he worked at National Iranian Oil Company He became board certified in surgery at Pahlavi University in 1977 (American trained University) Iran He went to University and was chosen as representative of the university to come to the United States for a fellowship His fellowship was in general surgery urology pediatric surgery at the University of Utah Salt Lake City Utah where he attended from August 1978 to 1979 Dr Safarian and his wife Neggi are the parents of three children two daughters and one son He is interested in sports and was a National Championship soccer player in Iran Dr David P Henrie Dr David P Henrie was born and raised in Delta where he graduated from Delta High School His freshman year was spent at Brigham Young University and his next two years at College of Southern Utah He graduated from medical school at the University of Utah and served his internship at LDS Hospital where he was chosen "Intern of the Year" After doing a year's residency at LDS Hospital he moved to Delta where he has practiced medicine for the past 13 years Dr Henrie and his wife Barbara are the parents of four children three sons and one daughter He enjoys all outdoor sports especially hunting prospecting and motorcycling He also enjoys computer programming and writing was born on Robert W Day MD January 23 1955 He is a native of Colorado He went to school at Colorado State University and graduated with a BS in Zoology in May of 1977 Among honors received were Dr Day then went on to Medical School at the University of Colorado graduating in May of 1981 After medical school Dr Day did his medical residency at the University of Kansas Doctor Day is a specialist in Internal Medicine and has a great interest in Cardiology Dr CoDay's lovely wife Carol also hails from lorado and they are the parents of two little girls Dr Day was described by his instructors in Medical School as an intelligent serious and effective student who has a vital interest in community health The Days enjoy life in Millard County as it gives access to a wide range of ourdoor activities in which they find great interest Chronicle Progress Dr Brent Black Medical staff: profiles Dr Melvin A Lyman Dr A Lyman was born and raised on a farm near Delta Utah He graduated from Delta High School and then attended BAC in Cedar City Utah where he graduated He graduated from the University of Utah Medical School He served as a bomber pilot in Europe during World War II He was based in Italy and flew over Germany Dr Lyman has practiced medicine in Delta Utah for 35 years He has also practiced in Arizona After internship he spent Vi years as a resident in surgery with Dr ohn Clark at St Marks Hospital He has done over 3500 major surgeries as a general practitioner in Delta Nephi Fillmore Arizona and Guatemala He is still actively practicing surgery and all other aspects of general medicine including obstetrics and has delivered numerous babies He did the first ever done in Millard County He enjoys general practice also having a special interest in psychiatry using a system of reality therapy of Dr Glasser Dr Lyman and his wife Paula are the parents of 16 children (his hers and theirs) Dr Robrert W Day MD - Millard Count) Melvin David Greaves Limburg Dr David Greaves Limburg MD was born July 1 1944 in Ogden Utah as the first of five children to Paul and Geneal Limburg As a child he lived in Ogden Minneapolis Salt Lake City Nephi and Bountiful After graduating from Bountiful High School he attended the University of Utah for one year before fulfilling a two year mission to Scotland for the LDS Church Resuming his undergraduate studies at the U of U upon returning he worked as a lab technician at St Mark's Hospital to support himself Dave graduated cum laude with a BS in biology in 1968 and that same month he married Suzanne Challis a nurse he met at St Marks The Limburgs resided in Salt Lake City for four years while Dave attended medical school at the U of U They then moved to Washington DC with their first child Julie where Dr Limburg did a one year internship at Walter Reed Army General Hospital They are the parents of six children three boys and three girls Adv Dr Brent Black finished family practice residency in June 1985 and began practice July 1 1985 in Delta His parents are Verle Dee Black from Deseret and Marilyn Terry Black from Lynndyl He graduated from Tooele High School in 1973 and attended BYU graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1978 majoring in Chemistry From 1974 to 1976 he served an LDS mission to Japan Sendai Mission He married Lisa K Burgess of Tooele on August 19 1977 and they have three sons and one daughter In 1982 he was graduated from the University of Utah College of Medicine and then completed a three year family practice residency program at McKay-DeHospital in Ogden This program provided study and practice in the areas of medicine surgery obstetrics gynecology pediatrics psychiatry and emergency medicine Continuity of care and health education for the individual and family are important issues Dr Greg Last Dr Greg Last was raised in Hurricane as the oldest son of the community's only physician He graduated from Hurricane High School in 1972 While in High School he participated in sports and his prior experience with the West Millard area consists of his high school football and basketball games against Delta High School After high school Dr Last enrolled briefly in Dixie College before leaving on a LDS mission He returned to the local college where he met his future wife Patsy Dean Following their graduation from Dixie the Lasts continued their education at Utah State University He graduated in 1978 with a degree in Applied Statistics She finished the following year with a medical technology degree Dr Last attended medical school in Salt Lake City at the University of Utah After medical school completon in 1982 the Lasts moved to Amarillo Texas where he completed a residency in Family Medicine in June of 1985 He came to Delta to practice in August 1985 The Lasts are the parents of two daughters Dr Brent Jackson was born in Ogden and raised Utah His parents are Harold and Norma Jackson of Hooper He graduated from Roy High School then attended Utah State University where he received his BS in Zoology and Chemistry He served a LDS mission to south Germany from 1968 to 1970 He attended medical school at the University of Utah from 1974 to 1978 and completed a three year residency in family practice at the U of U affiliated hospitals from 1978 to 1981 He has been practicing in Fillmore since 1981 and enjoys all aspects of family practice but his favorite work is in obstetrics During his time away from work he is an avid reader of fiction and science fiction He was an extensive stamp collection He enjoys playing baseball and basketball and running He is married to the former Debbie Robison of Salt Lake City They are the parents of one daughter and five sons Dr Brent Jackson in Hooper |
