when his car Christmas morning smashed into a tree on the east end of Delta’s Main Street Faustino Lazaro was pronounced dead from multiple injuries at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo where he was taken after being treated at the West Millard Community Medical Center according to Delta City Police Chief Roger Young The car driven by Lazaro was traveling east on dry roads about 1:00 am on December 25 when a police officer clocked it at "a high rate of speed” and turned to pursue Very soon after that the car went off the road and hit the tree Lazaro’s Dodge Challenger was literally split in half by the impact The body was found near the accident A local physician passing the scene administered emergency services Mr Lazaro was a student at Delta High School and was the
