According to a statement released by Clark, he is intrigued by the process of creating sculpture from various metals and found objects." Clark then takes the material, welds it together, and forms completely unique works of art from it. The primary material he works with is steel. The technique he uses to create his artwork is called Direct Metal Technique. It involves cutting, shaping and welding. He uses traditional metal working tools to accomplish this along with some specialized tools that he has created for himself that enable him to work from his wheelchair. I have focused on two" distinct styles of sculpture, whimsical and contemporary, Clark wrote in his statement.
