We have an enormous amount of respect for anyone who chooses to publish a newspaper, or any type of publication. As we're sure the staff of The Rebellion has experienced, newspaper production is a huge task to undertake and requires much time, energy, and planning. Competition is extremely underestimated; it makes all parties involved strive to be better. The students are the real winners in this situation. They have two newspapers to turn to for news around campu- s- two newspapers with different formats, different stories, and different view- points. The main concern of a newspaper should be to inform and educate its readers. And if two newspapers is what it takes for this to be accomplished at Dixie College, then we couldn't be more pleased. The basketball team placing sixth in the entire nation did receive quite a bit of credit, which they did deserve. In fact, the only section that I enjoy reading in your the paper that is giving the paper is the sports section because it's the only part of students. to those attention proper I would encourage your staff to actually get out of the newsroom and go on the student life.
