Or maybe a better question ould be what was the last movie that t ;ared you. The makers of last summers it Scream left audiences with sweaty alms and racing hearts, but this year they xk it a step further. I Know What You lid Last Summer is not the typical edge of dut seat thriller. When I walked out of the teater not only did I have sweaty palms nd a racing heart but every muscle in my ody was tense, my face was flushed, and iy voice was horse from screaming. The plot is not unique. There are w teens, Julie James (Jennifer Love Witt), Barry Cox (Ryan Phiollippe), elen Shivers (Sarah Michelle Geller), and ay Bronson (Freddie Prinze Jr.), who are 'reed to choose between what is right and 'hat is more convenient. Obviously, they lake the wrong choice and are forced to a) the price. The psycho serial killer, who this movie to be dressed in a happens 'ench coat carrying a massive hook, starts iardenng people and stashing them in 'convenient places such as the trunk of ulies car. You might think that a movie hn such a cliche plot couldnt possibly be lore frightening than Attack of the Killer m atoes. Sound typical? Most likely, but it is io cinematography, script, directing, and lecial effects that make this movie any-jin- g but typical. Although the plot is same as any scary movie, the script uter, Kevin Williamson, tried to make the peters seem a little more realistic. i u2son's gal is to have the audience rd do that too despite the unrealis- - tacumstances. Other factors that set this movie 'grt m the fact that, like in Scream, the uence has no clue who did it.
