She was theTop Jr speaker in parlimentary debate, and, along with Sally Brown, was not only the Top Jr Team in Duet Interpretation, but the two were also the Top Duet Interpretation team in the tournament. With the success of both debate teams, consisting of Stacy Cahoon and her partner Wade Beatty, and Toni Nielsen and Jed Stout, the debaters also added points to SUN NEWS SERVICE Dixie College Forensics Squad returned home from Southern California, Sunday afternoon with smiles on their faces after taking second place sweepstakes in division and second overall in the Cypress Forensics Tournament. The tournament was an open division tournament, which means that all of Dixie's competitors were competing with two and four year schools. Bronwyn grant received the Top Jr speaker in Communication Analysis. Stacy Cahoon spent most of her time during the awards presentation in the front of the audience by garnering six individual trophies and one team trophy. She was the Top Jr speaker in both Impromptu, with a 2nd place, and the Top Jr speaker in Extemporaneous Junior place Dixie's win. "This was a great boost to the team," said Michael Woodward, Dixie's Forensics Director, "they competed with some of the best that Southern California had to offer."
