On a weekend that my friends and I were fed up with St. George, we decided to head for Las Vegas for some fun and excitement, which eventually should prove my point that Vegas is a much better place to live . . right? . Even in St. George Lining lot. It was not a pretty sight. We yelled at each other more in the two hours we tried to sleep than the whole time weve know each other. Would a new day bring us better luck? Our first task was to get presentable for the day, which would he difficult without showers and electricity. The airport seemed as good a place as any. That way we would look like we'd just gotten off a night flight and were just freshening up; no showers still, but beggars can't be choosy. St. George really doesn't have a major place to 'hang out, but the boulevard sometimes works for a place to meet interesting people; sometimes good lookin' ones. The local food joints are also a place to meet quite a variety of people. Dance Clubs usually don't survive for too long in St. George, but while they are open they are a lot of fun to go to. There are two miniature golf courses for a person who is extremely bored, along with the two bowling alleys. Since gambling is illegal in Utah, casinos aren't an option; but Mesquite, Nevada is only a half hour away and is fun for a night of entertai nment.
