The Geology Department at Dixie is a i' that sends department students away with an indelible impression of our environment. Geology is a study in science which deals with the earth's crust and its successive physical changes. Geology also deals with why these changes take place. Van Professor Valkenburg and Bringhurst who run the geology program at Dixie feel privileged to live in such a prime area for studying geology. Having Zion, Bryce, Grand Canyon, Peter Van Valkenburg and Kelly Bringhurst teach geology to students at Dixie. 231 class is taught. This class is different from other geology classes taught, in a couple of ways. Geology 231 holds a field trip once a week and offers an optional river raft trip. This class centers mainly on practical experience in geology. 231 is Geology and many other state and limited to 20 students, so federal parksso close, it makes soon if your register studying geology in Dixie a practical experience.
