Show Page 6 DIXIE SUN October 7, 1988 CAMPUS jJFE Dixie's '88 Homecoming Schedule for held on 7:30 Tracey Berg St Staff H riter Aside from welcome week, Homecoming week holds the first major schedule of activities of the 9 school year. With the theme being Dixie, Heart of Mine, Homecoming week is October To kick off acwill be a there tivities, fireside on Sunday, October 9. Speaking at the fireside, held in the Dixie Center Arena, will be President Gordon B. Hinkley. The entire community is welcome to the 7:30 p.m. meeting. On Monday evening at 7:30 p.m., many young women will be competing for the title of Homecoming queen in a pageant held in 1988-8- the Dixie College Auditorium. Contestants will be judged in areas such as evening gown, swimsuit and talent. The queen and four attendants will be announced that evening and will reign over activities the entire week. Tuesday, an audience of students will be treated to a rendition of The Dating Game, which will Degin ai 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, selected students will appear in a Gong show, which will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Sun room. After a 7:00 Utah Jazz vs. Indiana Pacers Game on Thursday, a casual dance will be held in the Dixe College Arena. Beginning at 9:00 and coming to a close at 12:00, the charge will be $2.00 per person. An assembly for Dixie College Alumni will be held on Friday, October 14, at 11:00 a.m.. Also for the alumni, the Golden Generation will be held in the Sun room of the Student Union building at 7:30 p.m.. On the Friday, Anything Goes competition will be held on the Liberal Arts building lawn.
