" I Joins Dixie Faculty Afier ten years as a freelance professional artist, Del Parson has joined the faculty of Dixie College Art Department. His prev ious teaching experience includes positions in the Art Departments of Utah Technical College, Ricks College, and Brigham Young University. For two years at the beginning of his teaching career, he was the Art Supervisor for Sublette County School District in Pinedale, Wyoming, where he began, developed, and taught a art program. wide-rangin- g The Works of Del Parson Contemhave appeared in Western Artists by porary Peggy and Harold Samuels, Art West, Southwest Art, Artists of the Rockies, American West, Ensign, New Era, Friend, and in international magazines and L.D.S. Church manuals, books and video productions. His works have appeared in exhibits thoughout the intermountain west and on the east and west coasts. Some of these exhibits include the Allied Artist of America at the National Academy of Design, New York; American Artists Professional League, New York; American Artists Professional New York; Knicker-boche- r Artist at the Salmagundi Club, New York; the Mormon Arts Festival and Mormon Illustrators Exhibition at BYU; and LDS Fine Arts Competition, Salt Lake City. League, Parson has received awards including a First many Place in the St. George Arts Festival, the SALMAGUNDI Club Artists, Merit Award in the Mormon Arts Festival, and Best of Show for two years in the Wyoming National, Best of Show in the Deseret News Show and Utah State Fair Exhibit, and for four years the Best of Show Award at the Idaho State Fair.
