Show Rebels Will Meet U of U February 13, The DIXIE SUN Page 4 The University of Utah sity Baseball Team will take on the Dixie Rebels at 3:00 Feb. 19 on the City Baseball diamond. This will be the first game for both clubs of the 1970 Season. The U will continue on to Las Vegas for a game on Friday and Saturday. Officially baseball practice started Wednesday, February 11. However, many havent been aware of the announcement and should try out. Var- Baseball Anyone? All athletes Girls Rale 2nd Intramural Teams Here 19th interested in play- ing for the College Baseball Team should be at the city park daily at 3:00 for workouts. If class schedules interfere, the person should contact coach Horlacher in the Gym to workout an alternate schedule for his tryouts. Some thirty games are scheduled for the Rebels this spring against schools from Idaho, Colorado, Utah, and Arizona. They will be opening against the University of Utah February 19 at 3:00 P.M. (1-- 9 inning game) Wrestling Is 16th On February 7, the Dixie Col-le- g travelgirls basketball team ed to Cedar City where they met with SUSC and Snow college for the intermurel basketball tournament. They played SUSC for their first game and they came out on top. After playing SUSC they played Snow where they didnt do as well. Snow College came in first place and Dixie came in second. After playing the games SUSC gave the two school a little luncheon. Here they rewarded our team with a little token for coming in second. Play oil Meets In After some 160 games by 19 intramural clubs 8 teams have emerged as contenders for the coveted intramural championconsists of a ship. The play-odouble elimination tournament which began Wed. Feb. 11. Friday and Saturday nights four of these teams will play the preliminary games to the College games with CSI and Ricks. Teams in the playoffs that win in the first and second rounds will play at 6:30 Saturday night. All girls attending Dixie who have had experience with horses are invited to participate in the contest. Judging will be based on 60 horsemanship, 20 appearance, 20 personality and poise.
