Show 18 The Dixie Owl, St. George, Utah Class Reports COLLEGE NOTES It is very well to be loyal to ones class, to give ones services to make the class a success, and we as college students are loyal to our class. We are well satisfied with our activities so far. Our party in October was all one could ask, we won second place in the activities on Founders Day, and the college play which was staged during the holidays was a splendid success. Yes, we are all loyal to our classes, first years and college students alike. But in our institution is not this feeling of class loyalty overshadowing the loyalty to our school ? Thus far this school year we have had some very fine activities. Class competition has lent to our school life the pep that every school needs. The school, just for the book learnings sake, would not be so fascinating were it not for these activities. But. are we forgetting our Alma Mater while we are loyal to our class? We look at other schools, and the school itself stands supreme. The students services first, last and always, are for the school. Let us then analyze our situation. Are we more loyal to our class than we are to the school? If so, how are we going to remedy the situation? We as a college class are keen in ail class competitions, we love the life and spirit that they give to the school, but most of all we pay our highest tribute and loyalty to our dear D. N. C. L. A. Many a good man blacks shoes and many a bad one blacks character. |
