Show ONLY ONE TOWN NOW WITHOUT FARMERS CLUB Only one town In the county remain re-main backward in the way of having hav-ing a good live farmers club, and Castledale, Cas-tledale, the one town without a club, occupies this disadvantageous pesltlon from no fault of its own. "With all public gatherings temporarily discontinued, discon-tinued, both meetings set for organization organi-zation purposes' have had to be given up. This will be attended to some time during the coming week, however, howev-er, and Castledale will then be ready to assume her place along with her progressive neighbors who have taken up with the organization idea In truly remarkable style. The Orangevllle organization was perfected last Friday night at a well-attended well-attended meeting, the following offlc ers being chosen: Edgar Jewkes, president; pr-esident; W. G. Peacock, vice-president; C. H. Oliphant, secretary, Fred W. Fall, treasurer; Milton Tuttle, director. di-rector. The degree of activity into which the club launched itself almost Immediately after organizing is demonstrated, dem-onstrated, in the way in which some of the members engaged in the formation forma-tion of a local farm loan association. Mr. Sullivan, the county agricultural agricultur-al agent, expected to organize a club at Green River while he was down there last Monday and Tuesday, but, whether or not he was successful, we have been unable to learn as we go to press. It was Mr. Sullivan's intention to have all the directors from the several clubs meet today In Castledale to organize the county farm bureau, but the time of meeting was not set when Mr. Sullivan was last over here. |
