Show 114 YEARS AGO From the Progress of Jan. 19, 1901 The long-awaited railroad into Castle Valley is approaching a reality. The preliminary steps for the debut of the iron horse into this section of our county coun-ty have been taken. On Tuesday the articles of incorporation of the Castle Valley Railway coitip my were filed in Salt Lake City, and the n'-xt move we hope to hear of and see is that construction construc-tion work has begun. The capital stock Is fixed at $400,000, in $100 shares, and the estimated cost of construction is $20,000 per mile. S. H. Babcock is president of the new company; A. E. W.-liiv. vice president; : W. F. Colton. secretary and treasurer; I and these, with Theron G "Ides and E. A. Greenwood, are th other directors. Each of the above named has pubscribed for ten shares of the capital stock and General Manager D. C. Dodpe of the Rio Grande Western, the other incorporator, incor-porator, takes 360 shares.
