| Show LEGAL NOTICES 11 AN ORDINANCE levying and assessing A special and local tax on property abatti abutting ing sidewalk district no 4 to D defray fray the expense of building concrete Conre I 1 sidewalks therein bo be it ordained by the mayor and city council of brigham city utah section 1 A special and local tax is hereby levied and assessed upon the blocks and lots and parts of blocks lots iota lands and real estate es ta te bounding abutting or adjacent adla cent to sidewalk district no 4 heretofore created cre for a distance of lineal feet section 2 this tax is levied and assessed to defray the costs and expenses empens es of building in said sidewalk district concrete sidewalks and all things necessary to fully complete said work opposite all the property hereinafter described to be especially Y bene b ene fluted and affected by such improvements I 1 and it is hereby adjudged determined ter mined and established that the same will be especially bene fitted thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby levied and assessed and said parcels of land are arc hereby assessed according to the lineal feet abutting upon said portions of said streets to a depth of 20 feet feel back section 3 and the tax hereby levied and assessed upon said p parcels a reels ot of land is being 60 per lineal front toot foot tor for the side walk 6 feet wide complete v eiith is the total cost of said improve meats and is levied in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance upon all of the following lots blocks parcels of land in biggham city to the depth above alcove indicated 1 that part of the S E quarter of section 14 township 9 N R 2 west bounded and described as follows to wit beginning at the southwest corner of the intersection of forest and sixth west streets thence west along the south line oi of I 1 forest street to the intersection of forest and eighth west streets thence south sout h along cast side of eighth west for a distance of twenty feet thence east along a line parallel with the south boundary of forest str street bet to the west line of sixth west thence north twenty feet to a point of begin ing also lots 6 block 77 and lot 6 block 78 plat 13 brigham city plat and survey and lots 7 and 8 block 9 lots 7 and 8 6 block 10 lots 7 and 8 block 11 lots lota 7 and 8 block 13 12 lots 2 arid and 1 block 19 lots 2 and 1 block 18 lots 2 and 1 block 17 all in plat A brigham city plat and survey and lot 1 in block 82 plat B D brigham city plat and survey said tax shall become due payable and delinquent in 3 installments as follows one third thereof becomes de delinquent in fifty days after the date of this tax levy one third in one year and one third in two years each and very every installment of said tax except the first shall bear interest at the rate of six per cent per annum from the date of levy and all said installments shall bear interest at the rate of 10 per cent per annum from the date of delinquency until paid N E R A madsen adsen BI A F jeppson jos valentine and J B mcmaster members of the council are hereby appointed as a board of equal equalization arid and review and upon the completion of the list or lists of the cioper ty taxed in the above district the said lists shall be placed in the hands bands of the said board and the said board shall give public notice of the completion of the list or lists and appoint not less than five consecutive days upon which they meet during the usual business hours stating the place of the meeting and during the time specified the said eald list or lists shall be open to public inspection tion and any person or persons feeling themselves aggrieved shall have a hearing before the said board and said board shall have authority and shall make such correction of any tax deemed unjust or unequal section 5 this ordinance is to take |
