Show GOMPERS ASSAILS FOUNDATION. Believes Rockefeller Institution's Activities Ac-tivities Should be Curbed. New York. Samuel Gompers, president presi-dent of the American Federation of Labor, does not believe that any conclusion con-clusion the Rockefeller foundation might reach as to industrial conditions condi-tions would carry conviction to the workers of the country or greatly influence in-fluence the employers of labor. He said so Friday in testifying before be-fore the inquiry being conducted here by the United States commission on industrial relations into the administration adminis-tration of the great philanthropic foundations of the country and the cause of industrial unrest. The Rockefeller foundation recently recent-ly appointed William Lyon Mackenzie King, former Canadian minister of labor, la-bor, to make a study of industrial relations. |
