Show GERMANS REJOICE OVER RAID. Expect That Recent Bomb Throwing in England Will Strike Terror to Hearts of Englishmen. Berlin. The first page of all newspapers news-papers published in Berlin on January 11 were given to news of the attack made by Zeppelin airships on the English coast, and scanty reports from the eastern and western war ;heaters occupied inconspicuous places on inside pages. With remarkable remark-able unaimity the German press appears ap-pears to expect that this raid will be followed shortly by others. While the amount of damage done by the bombs dropped from the airships is not yet known here, satisfaction is expressed ex-pressed in the fact that all the Zeppelins Zep-pelins returned safely and in the announced an-nounced belief that the moral effect yt the bombardment cannot fail to be very great, especially as it follows so closely the recent bombardment of the Hartlepools and other points on the eastern coast of England by German Ger-man cruisers. |
