Show ANOTHER YOUNG RECRUIT WRITES OF EXPERIENCES Vernon Oman, one of the trio of Castledale's patriotic young men who last enlisted, writes as follows, uing Y. M. C. A. stationery, which shows that the young man is surrounding himself with the most wholesome of conditions in spare moments. July 30, 1917. Mr. David S. Williams, dear friend: A line to let you know I haven't forgotten you. I joined the army July 9, 1917, and like it fine. I joined the medical or hospital corps, and Willard Peterson and Perry Day are with me and also like it. I wish more of the boys were with us. Come and Join and fight for your country! If you live good and clean I know your lives will be spared. I see by the paper that there were a few boys from Castledale that will have to come before long. Tell them not to be afraid to die for their country. coun-try. Tell all hello for me and remind them to write once in a while. I wish you would send me the Progress. Prog-ress.
