Show Dr. J. M. Graham, former county physician, who is now practicing in i Salt Lake City, has been commissioned ! in the medical corps of the army and ordered to report at Allentown, Pa., for duty, according to the American Medical Journal. The doctor has not yet recovered from the malady afflicting afflict-ing his back, and finds it impossible to secure a diagnosis of the trouble. C. H. Winders.manager of the boating boat-ing and fishing resort at Desert Lake, reports having had a large patronage on July 24th and also last Saturday and Sunday from both Emery and Carbon counties. The time was spent in boating, fishing, and bathing. All who are contemplating making a visit I to this interesting place are urged o do so now as the water is low and the fishing is fine. Directions for reaching the lake by the best road for cars may be found in the display ad in another column. I Somwhere near a dozen Emery and l Carbon county cars Joined the big farmers excursion -to Logan and in-I in-I termediate points last Wednesday . morning, the following Emery county I cars being among the list: Rasmus ' Johnson and A. W. Anderson of Emery, Em-ery, D. H. W'ods and Ab Guymon of Huntington, Adolph Axelson of Elmo, E. E. Davis, and J. H. Otterstrom of Cleveland, J. Frank Otterstrom of Huntington, and Hyrum Nelson, presi- dent of the county farm bureau, of i Ferron. All these cars were loaded with friends of the respective parties. I Mr. and Mrs. James Petersen, son Rex j and daughter Irene, of Castledale, made the trip in George Nixon's car. |
