Show I BASH 'K HI; (i MF. IS j CLOSU VICTOKY I'OI! K. S. A. j The opening basketball game of the ! Kenson between the Huntington High school team and the E. S. A. was anybody's any-body's victory up until almost the very last. The game was played on the Academy floor last Thursday evening eve-ning and was witnessed by a good crowd of fans, promising well for the later contests in the county. The first half of the game was a most excitable affair, first one and then the other side being a point or two ahead. The half finally ended with the score resting at 14 to 13 in j Huntington's favor. The second half started off better for the Academy, the latter boys having hav-ing excellent luck in making field go;ils, making five before time was called. The game ended with the score reading 25 to 21 in favor of the local .school, most of Huntington's pomls in the hist half being made via the foul throw route. It was a very good game, however, and either side may develop into championship form. |
