Com-missioner. L. W. PETERSON, County Commissioner. Com-missioner. Above is tne new list of county officials offic-ials now in charge of the affairs. They all took up their duties January third the secoud being a holiday. Nearly every one is fam:liar with the duties they have assumed as they had been assisting the outgoing officer long enough to get familiar with the office. They have all taken hold like veterans and business at any of the offices at this date can be attended to with the same dispatch as formerly. Samuel Singleton was made chairman of the board of commissioners as we perdicted last week. Reference to the proceedings of the board will show that , abont all the appointments made were of deputies, the important places such as road commissioner, bee inspector and horticultural inspector being left over to the next meeting. There are also many vacancies. in township offices to be supplied. That they intend to protect the county roads is shown by a notice in regard to fast driving on bridges which appears elsewhere. And now that the people have selected select-ed the officers and they have taken up the duties of the places to which they were elected it is a matter for mutual congratulation that each office is filled by a capable man and that all can rest assured of a good faithful administration administra-tion of affairs. Here's wishing success to each of the new officials! , |
