Whether people act on these astrological insights is their business I can't tell who does and doesn't That's reassuring -Hi gorgeous What's your sign?'' Those were the days in the fern bars Great gaggles of folks played this game and some took it quite seriously studying to find Mr or Ms Right with help from the heavens The same turkeys seemed to go home with the paper every night however (Do I have to explain that to you?) I don't know how influenced by astrology the first lady may be or how her beliefs may influence the president but I'm not worried There could be an up side to this I'm told many people in many emerging nations take astrology quite seriously and have for thousands of years Perhaps America's stature in these nations will grow when it's widely known Nancy Reagan is a believer The revelation might be a boon to US foreign relations Speaking of Revelations there are Americans who derive insight and guidance from reading that totally unscientific book in the Bible you know albeit dimly Some believers go It's the one that foretells future goings-oup on mountaintops when they think they've figured out the world is about to end So far their timing's been off We could have one of those folks in the White House some day Think about that Knock on wood and keep your fingers crossed for or against It doesn't matter much however I study the entrails of chickens and find them quite reliable as long as the birds aren't stoked with steroids I'm happy to report all present signs point to pate in every pot n p3 r This lecture offers without charge to the community information and assistance for post partum depression sufferers their family members professionals and ' interested members of the community infomation will be provided on the following areas: What is post partum depression depression risk factors and guidelines As part of the program three women who have suffered form post partum depression will tell their stories and answer questions Wednesday May 25 1988 7:00 to 9:00 pm 4 t self-hel- : A era I 01111 4 5652 sim487 2432 530 State --- IC: Sr" tangent 041l 2 246 East Partma 54977 1300 South : : l '1 1t :' t Cnler OGDEN at CPC OLYMPUS VIEW HOSPITAL 1430 East 4500 South Salt Lake City Utah 84117 For further information call 0 YOUR SOURCE FOR stwfters Soto CevvoiIPLara Budd 41 - Oo Weimer - " "" - 111 e ' 1 0 0 I Aor- 40! a Otiads Woven Wt3Ods 6 Snommwrlowlmmom1milm w1444 - I Wood Marmon p ram - - 50101 5121446 802 East WO South Sandy Mal 246 : Recognizing And Dealing With Post Partum Depression Lecture Speaker: V Lynn Neff LCSW ' 7- CPC OLYMPUS VIEW 110SPITAL — Presents — HUNDREDS OF DESIGNER COLORS TO CHOOSE FROM PVC Newport Only 1:1111111111' -- c7 u ' ED rD - E I 7 air 0 LI 0 - V Call for a FREE no consultation obligation 660 it- - -1- 101 1 I w i - I fit 111pt 4 I i il' rv:L4p4 II ANIMMOOMMIIIIMNIM1111 li -- ::::11' I EXPMES relAy 2811988 2- - e —112 1— IIe119 WIL:IlljEll 10Lob IOU litiltis --- ONLY the cost of NutriSystem foot One discount per customer ti:oary In141:FER their weight losses Offer limited to new clients only jn - - 0 7:0) u p GOOD AT TIME OF CONSULTATION I II all J weight loss centers ' f F —rnountit Stott Ph° lo by Don Muer - SHADES i -4 t' - Alum -- 4io -- c I 972-666- 0 -- - 1 I: ' 4 : University of Utah's Women's Resource Center "Pathways to Power" conference May 23 to 26 concludes with celebration Participants will include Sherry Zemlick top Teri Holleran urapes VERTICAL —L1-- '' 0 ov it ( - '''''t of West Valley :1- I t - 1 e n r STAL'ILEV PALMERI t - j ' " L rmt ikl:ik I ( "BREAKING THE SILENCE" -- " - 1 LirE - New medical research snows oat bran helps reduce cholesterol Adds fiber too Send for 7 delicious and healthy oat bran recipes inc rolls cookies cake and apple cobbler ' "' - 410 :1 A OAT BRAN IS GREAT EATING 4' - 4 L 11 i i — 0 : - I Anonymous saying v 4 i ---g -- ---- 4 — -- i -4 0 means perhaps: when he says perhaps he means no: when he says no he is no diplomat" -4' 1 - An anonymous saying has it that When a diplomat says yes he 4:044?- t D CrilCSI I? s DELIVERY Now imck is stock Nimbi Book No 3 is swilisbis ics 62 SO widen incesdos post000 Now Amino cis this newsospot PO Sox 4384 Orlando FL 32802-43nd kicks yew nem Otkireet sad zip cods sad task your chock psybie to itinstpepodosoks See Jumble Answer X - ' - T ' OFFER EXPIRES JUNE ISM TWO WEEK 111431111WAIRSORIEL N n ale( - i z " rardmramitrimragrair - -- le' 0 L alxrpsnionficat PRINT YOUR ANSWERI IN THE CIRCLES BELOW A - -I- 11 11 WHY HE EN17E17 up WITH THIS 1 -- ANYTHING HS 70 Do oor a 7OLICHEE7 4 4 t - I 470— ! That's a classic dumb question Isiah couldn't know the answer He gets a high mark for not responding -- We are!" — the classic dumb answer Instead Isiah said "Maybe you should consult the stars" "I am!" said the reporter -- You're a star" Oh no Wit wasted on the witless Suddenly understanding Isiah's astrology reference however the reporter added -- But I get it: I do get it Ha ha- - What a relief Sometimes when Sisyphus is straining to roll his boulder up the mountainside and work a microphone at the same time his grip on world events loosens Nancy Reagan should e happy for the levity her alleged reliance on astrology is stirring especially at these important grass roots Let Donald Regan smolder and Sam Donaldson view with alarm Laughter in the boonwell docks aainrdeabdayrruonodmesrsptoarntdentdhse We first lady It's hard to sustain terror at the Goddess" at 2 pm 4 Prim Burgie counselor - in private practice at pm will present "Learning to Love Yourself- to help people discover how they can become their thoughts Teri Holleran a founder of the Salt Lake Center for Transpersonal Therapies May 25 at noon will present "Today's Dreams Are Tomorrow's 1s ii e ''''44 By Nickie Mc Whirler death-and-dyin- 13 r-- Astrology jokes in vogue even in sports non-prof- 011t7 44 Uni-Vers- Self-Estee- A U colleague and — — -p IrES11t bD I ONA u EF-Lose up to a pound a day Mistake-proo- f and 1 iT1 1 - ' drugs t no strenuous exercise Behavior Education classes teach you how to stay slim t I t I I : 298-888- 2 HIGHLAND SANDY 278-538- 8 572-233- 4 WEST VALLEY 177-4 MIDTOWN OREM OGDEN 964-620- 3288882 L 226-862- 5 479-022- i 8 0 — t 1 I 1 i i 4 lb |
