Show E. . A. NOTES A little dialogue between one of Bro. Willey's theology students and one, of Miss Palmer's english students: L. C. "How do you spell kimono?" M. O. "K-i-m-o-n-o. Why, what do you want that for?" 1 L. C. Well I am writing to clad and telling him I climb a kimono every morning. M. O. (Rolling on the bed laughing) "Oh you boy! That is a divssi ng saeh, or a loose Japanese robe." L. C. " Oh it ain't neither, you simpleton. That is where Joseph Smith found the plate's! PERRON The Misses Lillian and Mildred Nelson Nel-son entertained some twenty-six of their friends last Thursday night, at a Hallowe'en social. Hobgoblins and witches were in evidence. In fact everything from beginning to end, in eluding the decorations, was very appropriate ap-propriate for the occasion. Curious lads and lasses were given glances into the future which created a great deal of merriment. Numerous g?mes were played, also Hallowe'en charms an J tricks were tried. Supper was served in a very unique style. Each gent selected a paper from a plate which bore the name of the lady he was to escort to supper. At each plate was a copy of the menu seryed. The girls proved charming hostesses and everyone coi gratulated them on the jolly time and the success of the entire affair. The Y. L. M. I. A. gave a Hallowe'en social last Friday evening. A large crowd was in attendance. We have listened to many stirring political speeches the last few days. The stork visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. Horace Duncan, leaving a pair of twin boys. Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Zwahlen of Somerset, Colo., who have been visiting visit-ing relatives and friends, will return home this week. |
