Jerry Childers, 39, 7625 S. 1530 West; John Soto, 26, same address, and Raymond Montoya, 24, Bex 353, Midvale, were taken to Cottonwood Hospital with gunshot wounds after the 2: 10 a m. shootout. Mr. Childers and Mr. Soto were released from the hospital, while Mr. Montoya remained in satisfactory condition with a bullet wound in his chest. MIDVALE Salt Lake County Sheriff's Deputy Russell Oleen said the three men apparently became involved in an argument at the lounge when shooting erupted. He said at least two pistols were fired in the incident Towing Firm Back on Job The private towing company that hauled off impounded cars for Salt Lake City police is tossing out the hook again. Last week, commissioners removed their contract with LaMar McQuaid Towing, because the firm had failed to buy licenses for the past two years or file a certificate of insurance. But Lawrence Posselli, city licenses assessor, said past due licenses were taken care of and Mr. McQuaid filed the needed certificates with the city recorder. Public safety officials said the trucks, which charge the city 17.92 a tow, were back on the job. Public Safety Commissioner Glen N. Greener estimates the contracted service saves the city $30,000 a year. S, TB Guidelines Sent To Utah Hospitals Because hospitalization for tuberculosis is no longer centralized in one facility, the Utah Lung Assn., 1616-lltEast, has sent TB guidelines to general hospitals throughout the state. "The tuberculosis unit at the Weber County Memonal Hospital was closed by the Utah Slate Division of Health last July," said Dr. Franklin K. Brough, executive director of the association. "That ended 44 years of treating tuberculosis in a snoeinlied facility. . .and patients who need', hospitalization will have to get it at a general hospital, he added. Noting that hospital treatment of TB now is generally a matter of two or three weeks, Dr. Brpugh said, "It is anticipated that the state health division will designate a few qualified hospitals to receive but any patients being treated at state expense hospital can expect to have a TB patient from time to time. h - -- ...
