The woman said a man was going door to door looking for counterfeit money. She said he held up a card which she did not see, hut he did not show a badge A little later a second man appeared, also posing ns an undercover officer, and the two asked to see all the money she had to determine if it was bogus. She gave them the $250 she had been savmg for two years The men then told her it was counterfeit After a telephone call (allegedly from the police department) for one of the officers, the two men gave her a sealed envelope which they said contained her money and told her that she was not to open it.
