Show FERRON The Relief society gave an entertainment entertain-ment last Friday in honor of the retiring presidency. The program began at 2 o'clock in the afternoon. The public school band furnished music for the oc-I oc-I casion which was very commendable. Lunch was served and games were played during the remainder of the afternoon. aft-ernoon. A dance was given in the evening eve-ning for all. A token of love and respect re-spect was presented to each retiring member. Joseph Zwahlen and wife have a baby girl lateley arrived. Oscar, Thcrvald, Guy, and Ma. Nint Nelson are quarantined on account ofj measlse. We hope no new cases wil develop. These parties all were exposed ex-posed at the same place out of town. The M. I. A. is preparing a drama "The Miller's Daughter." It will be given Friday evening, the 28th: N. L. Williams has charge of the affair. Our Primary officers entertained the children, . with lunch and a dancing, party Wednesday. ;in spite of the deep snow many children were out. The weather man presented ua with between 10 and 12 inches of snow Sunday night and Monday, for which : we are very thankful. Geo. Olsen and family have moved to Hiawatha where 7vir. Olsen has been employed in the power house as a fireman. Our public school band has made wonderful progress under the able direction of the hiusic teacher, Joseph Hansen, and Principal N. L. Williams. There are about 25 members all belonging be-longing to the school and they all !play. Our basket ball team is getting in firstclass condition. We will be prepared pre-pared to meet any team in the county. All six feet tall and active as well, so beware. Mrs. H. W. Curtis is slowly improving improv-ing from a recent attick o pniumonia- |
