Show DR. HICKMAN'S LECTURE . PROVES MOST INSPIRING A feature of the evening was the orchestra and choir selections under Prof. Driggs. A fair audience was presenf but not nearly the number that the importance of the event should have justified. On Saturday morning a special lecture on the use and ill efforts of narcotics, was given especially for the benefit of the students but open to the general public. This, too, was a splendid splen-did talk and was full of pointers on this very potent subject, his positions as principal and member of faculties of various schools of tha state making a most intelligent discussion dis-cussion of this subject very interesting and clear. In his study of the use of nor' otics, he has had the privilege of e camining hun Ireds of boys and was, indeed, well prepared to treat the matter mat-ter thoroughly and intelligently. |
