The Grinch is especially wicked played by Paul k Muiphy, along with his Max, dog played by Scott Holman. The dog often steals the show, with his asides and an oustand-in- g solo singing performance. At his most wickedest, The Grinch, dressed as Santa, sings a rousing rewritten number of "Devil With the Red Suit On" that made the audience love to boo him even more. As always, the Desert Star show takes popular songs and changes the lyrics to fit into the the theme of the show, such classics is a new arrangement of "Kill the Beast" from Disney's Beauty and the Beast as the towns- - Editor show-stoppi- The Grinch has never been grinchier or funnier than in the Desert Star side-kic- Theater's holiday offering of How The Grinch Saved Christmas. With classic melodrama flair, comedic timing, and a twist of the original Grinch tale, the Desert Star players have put together a show that will make audiences laugh as well as prepare them for the holidays. The story focuses on the Who children, played by Holly Braithwaite, Steven Fehr and Kerstin Anderson as Cindy Lou Who, who insist they met the Grinch while in the woods searching for a Christmas tree. However, no one will believe them, especially Mayor Phineas Who, played by Spencer Ashby, since he is running for with the campaign promise e that will have a Merry Christmas. Excellent in her role as Mama Who is Arika Schockmel, who holds the family to gether while holding May Phineas as bay from his marriage proposal. While Mama Who wonders "is it possible that there is a Grinch," The mayor's response of "As possible as the Jazz winning the NBA people prepare to search for the Grinch and the missing Who Children. The real "bad guy" you will love to "boo" at the end of the show won't be the one you expect, and adds to the fun of the show. The Grinch parady is followed by A Christmas Wish Olio featuring the Desert Star players in a musical tribute to the season, some of which is touching and other sure to bring a smile and a laugh.
