OCR Text	Show MAY HAVE ESCAPED russian believe kuropatkin has escaped from japanese forces there la little news from the tar east but in st petersburg the author atlea are confident that the critical stage of the russian retreat Is past and that kuropatkin no longer Is in danger of losing any part of hie forces to the pursuing japanese the russian corn mander has arrived at mukden and it is given out in bt petersburg that the bulk of his army Is now near there while a dispatch from mukden filed tuesday says that the main rus blan army Is pushing northward and ev actuating that place it Is indicated that the japanese are still harassing the russian rear further than this nothing is known
