To swat and trap these and remove the breeding places for those that escape us, will surely make every Utah county town flyless. Manure heaps which have been accumulating since last fall contain thousands of fly pupae ,and with the first warm days of spring are sure to hatch. If the manure is spread on the fields where the suns rays can strike it, most of the flies will be killed and a very effective breeding place will be removed. The suns rays are death to the maggots of the fly and the chjeapest means for killing them is simply to spread the fermenting mass out where it can dry. If this is Unpractical, the maggots may be killed , by saturating the compost with iron sulphate (copperas) two pounds to the gallon of water. A flyless town is the surest indication of a clean town, and it can be had only with the cooperative effort of every citizen. May he who has an uncleanly year solemnly ask himself the age-tl- d question, An) I my brothers keeper? 3- - -- MUSIC MEMORY CONTEST 8 TEAMS TO MEET HERE Would the United States be bettered by adopting a system of government similar to that of England? Many students of political science contend that Englands form of government is more democratic more responsive to the popular will, than is that of America. The matter will be debated in College hall on Saturday evening at 8 oclock. White McGee and Herbert Sutton of Occidental college, Los Angeles, will represent the affirmative, and LeGrand Noble and E. H. Harter of the B. Y. U. the negative of the Resolved, That the Unit question: ed States should adopt the cabinetparliamentary system .of government. The Occidental debaters are on a tour of the country debating the question. They have been as far east as Maine, aid after meeting the Y team will go to Washington. The judges will be Justice E. E. Corfman, formerly of the state supreme court, and probably Justices S. R .Thurman and J. E. Frick, now members of that court. An invitation is extended to the public to be present. cabinet-parliamenta- ry Their home was sold, no doubt to someone who learned the lesson of this unavoidable predicament! It is not really a home unless it is YOUR home. Benefit by the experiences of others and build YOUR OWN HOME ? NOW. Our advice to build now is based on our information concerning the likelihood of a shortage in building material. The known accumulated shortage in buildings of all kinds, and the natural increment for the year 1923 bring estimated expenditures for 1923 up to the tremendous' total of $7,830,000,000. So our advice to you is to get your orders filled now while stocks f can be had. The prospects for a are adequate and delivery Tig year of building were never brighter. , Spanish Fork A.
