(AISE). Schweitzer, Quamberg ofKanab High School have been selected as the two outstanding sophomores to rep- resent Kane County at the An- nual Hugh OBrian Youth Lead- -' Seminar (HOBY). Charlene is the daughter of Kathy Miles and J.R. is the son Kim & Rod Quamberg. They ership are being sponsored by the ' who had received the 1952 Nobel Peace Prize, was pleased that the young actor had taken the time to visit him. One remark that Schweitzer made stuck with OBrian: The most important thing in education is to teach young people to think for them-o- f selves. When OBrian got home, he decided to put Schweitzers words into action by setting up the Hugh OBrian Youth Foun-ha- s dation,-knowtoday as Hugh OBrian Youth Leadership. To- day the program instructs more than 15,000 selected high school students from each of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Kanab Womens Civic Club, with expenses being paid by the club, The Kanab Womens Civic Club supported the HOBY pro- gram since 1980. At the seminar, we were encouraged to believe in ourselves and remember, If it is to be, it is up to me. . Another alumnus of the program said: I have learned that my potential is endless and I can do anything I want to do. The North Mohave Campus and Fredonia Center of Mohave Community College will be hosting several student life activities throughout the spring semester. Each event is designed to thank students for choosing to attend Mohave, and will provide an excellent opportunity for students to meet with Mohave employees in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
