Fly-I- n was held on Sunday, May 21, at the Kanab City Airport. 26 planes came for a good turn out, the races were good and everyone had fun. I want to thank my sponsors: CC Auto Parts, Houstons Trails Trini Kanab City Airport, Parry, ILodge, Zions Bank, and Aikens !Lodge. We would also like to .thank Dick and Sharlotte Brewer, and all the airport crew for their great help. -- The Kanab Gateway Aero Club cooked up a great breakfast and hamburgers for lunch. This is a great asset to the success of the event. Thanks to Earl Leseberg for the use of his van for transportation. Last, but not least, thanks to the Kane County Travel Council for advertising and funding. Thanks to you all, The crew at Aikens Lodge it Pageant Director The Kane County Pageant Committee would like to thank all contestants for their participation in the 2000 Miss Kane County Scholarship Pageant held on May 6th in the Kanab High School Auditorium. Following a hectic week of rehearsals and after a full day of swim suit, interview, talent and evening wear, the new royalty for 2000 was announced. The royalty will appear at several community events dining the next year, including the 4th of July parade and the Kane County Fair. The pageant committee would like to thank the businesses that purchased an ad in the program, the businesses that sponsored special awards and Don Ferrand Phophotogtography for raphy. We would also like to thank the following businesses: Holiday Inn Express for the use of their facilities for swim wear and interview; Pizza Hut for hosting our Friday night rehearsal dinner, Gem Awards for royalty crowns; Houstons Trails End for hosting pre-pagea- nt our judges dinner; Aunties Flowers & Things for the royalty flowers and Kane County School District for the use of the facilities.
