Valley parents and fans cheered as the Buffaloes teamed together to gain an early lead over Wayne. In the first round Valley took on Escalante. Valley had the advantage of two wins over Escalante in region play this year. Previously in region play Valley was unable to beat the Bobcats, this added to the determination to defeat them. With energy and tough defense Valley began their battle by upsetting the Bobats early in the ball game. Giving their all in defense, Valleys hustle showed as the came away with a huge win 53-3giving one the number spot in Valley the Sophomore tournament! V alleys Marvin Hoyt was high score man with 15 points. Kit Goulding and Owen Hoyt also helped with 13 apiece. Each player added their own combination of defense and offense, playing like the champions they really are. With a huge trophy in hand and smiles all around, Valley made their way home, 8, back, but ended with little success. With Wayne barely knowing what hit them, Valley added another win to their record, with a score of 61-44. James Hoyt led the Buffaloes scoring attack with 15 points. Joseph Sorensen added nine to the win. Previous to the ball game, Valley followed tradition by honoring the senior players for their outstanding work they have done throughout their high school career. In turn, their parents were honored for their support of their boys. This years seniors were Joseph Sorensen, Charlie Crosby, Ike Spencer, Randy Demke, Daniel Roundy, James Hoyt, Scott Lamb and John Reese. On behalf of the team and fans, we would like to thank these boys once again for their hard work and dedication and wish them luck in the future. Playing like real champs, Valleys JV team also ended the night with a win of their own.
