The open dates will be July 1999. Any use before or after that date will be subject to a fine. 1-- 4, You must be 16 years old to purchase fireworks. Any fireworks purchased at a Utah business or fireworks stand should be legal. If you purchased your fire- works outside of Utah, you probably have some illegal stuff. Anything that goes over 15 feet in the air or explodes is illegal. This would include firecrackers, bottle rockets, dynamite, etc. You may think its fun to play with this illegal stuff, but some of those will travel several hundred feet away from where you are and land on someones roof or in some dry grass that will cause damage to someones property. Even though fireworks are being allowed, you are still responsible for any damage you may cause because ofcareless use.
