Marvin loved serving the Lord and his fellow men. He was only happy in the service of others. He was loved and will be missed by many. Survivors include his wife Mary of Mt. Carmel; two daughters Shelia Watson of Madison, Miss., and Susan (Michael) Davis of Murray, Utah; a son Shane Stevens of Holliday, Utah; two step-son- s Ray W. Colonel US Air Force Retired, died August 12, 1998 in his home at the age of 94. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin February 15, 1904 to Andrew S. Jacobs and Wilhelmina Paul. He graduated from Marquette University in 1927 with an Electrical Engineering Degree. He became an Air Force Cadet, graduating as a Second Lieutenant and assigned to the First Pursuit Group in 1929 as a regular officer. He participated in the first Army Air Corps winter test flight and was involved in the flying of the US Mail. He was on the planning staff and participated in the invasion of Africa, Sicily and Italy. After returning from World War II, he was assigned to the occupation force in Japan that was involved in the Korean War. He retired after 35 years in the Air Force in April of 1956. Colonel Paul Jacobs married Frances W. Lyons in 1962 after a very long courtship. He is survived by his wife of Kanab; a sister Virginia Draxler of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin; and a daughter by a previous marriage Patricia Jacobs of Ronald, Washington. 1998.
