The Sustainable Communities Summary states that employment and income in retail and service have increased in Kane County for more than a decade, as a result of increased tourism. But unfortunately, the increases have failed to bring prosperity to county residents. Many who live here work long hours, with family members being employed in more than one job. Most jobs do not include any extras since the small business employers cannot afford to provide benefits such as insurance and pension plans. Few would argue that sustaining Kane Countys economy the past few years, has presented a challenge akin to that a pregnant might experience. The challenges just seem too difficult! Job losses from several large employers in the past few years, have driven home the fact that those who want to live here, must put up with a purely-dismeconomic picture. But according to the report released by Economist Gil Miller, Kane Countys future doesnt have to be bleak. Our report was designed to get people to think about the future, and to come to a consensus on what they want their community to . pole-vault- er Death Notice 4, Harmony Lynn (Tyson) northern Bunting, Brian Thomas Utah area. Different government entities need to pool resources and work together. To be quite frank, commented Miller, we Tires cant afford not to get the most out of our pooled talents, money and time. We need to build on what others have done in the past, and not look for outside sources to rescue us. In presenting the Sustainable Communities report, we will focus on three areas of recommendations: 1) Business and Economic Development, 2) Monument Infrastructure and 3) Tourism. We welcome positive community imput or suggestions on any or all of these areas. So. Utah Tire Center Auto & Light Truck Huge Selection! Great Prices!
