Our local Trails Club is spon- oringa project to have area youth participate in restoring the Ver- milion Cliffs Overlook (Squaw) Trail. The program is one of sev- eral community-base- d efforts funded through the school districts Achieving Community Together (ACT) grant. These projects are intended to promote character development among our young people, as well as a r of community involvement, The trailhead of the Vermil- ion Cliffs Overlook Trail lies just north of Jacob Hamblin Park, where 100 East terminates. The Trails Club, composed of outdoor enthusiasts of all ages and walks of life, is inviting our community youth to help restore the trail this spring. The neces- sary tools and materials will be provided by the club. TheBLM, which administers the Overlook Trail and surrounding areas, has offered guidance and support for the project.
