She kept a diary from the time she was married and she ea-joy-ed attending the temple. Cecil Mann Fisher, age 90, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 1998 in Hooper, Utah, where she had been living for the past few years. She was born June 30, 1907 in Bountiful, to Frank and Harriet Hogan Mann. She married Byron Porter Fisher on October 31, 1925 in Salt Lake City and they were sealed June 25, 1926 in the Salt Lake Temple. They lived in Bountiful, Orem, Provo and Vernal, then moved to Orderville in 1952. There they built a business, Fishers Rock n and Jewelry, which became well-know- Byron was called to be Branch President in Moccasin for a few years, and then in 1975 they were called to serve a mission in North Carolina for eighteen months where they made lasting friendships. She loved the Lord and had great faith in him. She was talented and had many opportunities to develop her abilities. She enjoyed singing in trios and choirs. She was artistic and ambitious and always had flowers in and outside of her home, vegetable gardens, and orchards. She was a fine seamstress and made clothing, draperies, and rugs, and learned to paint with oils. She crocheted, embroidered, and learned to tat, but her finest expressions of art were the beautiful quilts she created by the dozens. Cecil was chosen to represent Utah as Utahs Mother of the Year in 1971, and spent a week in New York City with her husband for the week long convention. She was a lifetime member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, and did a lot of genealogy, and writing and collecting histories and photos. After Byron passed away, she sold the business, and as her health declined went to live near Sandra and K.C. in Hooper, Utah, where they lovingly cared for her for several years. She is survived by sons and daughters: Gene and Lu Fisher, Denver, Colorado; Janice and Larry Esplin, Orderville; Garth and Jerry Fisher, Provo; Merrill Roger and his wife Laura, and (Riechel) Torgerson of Kanab; housewife raising her children, her six sisters; Alton Mann; Vera Jerry (Tiffanie) Torgerson of she worked outside her home, White; Ethel Evans; Nora Kanab; Cindy McDaniel of always at the same company as Skoubye; Alice Mann and Jennie Fredonia; and Chad (Autumn) her husband.
